What you will do

  • Build and run scalable AWS infrastructure with services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, load balancers and EKS
  • Write and maintain infrastructure as code and deployment workflows in Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Apply cloud security practices covering IAM, encryption, network segmentation, logging and compliance controls
  • Watch performance, uptime, security and spend, and fix problems before they spread
  • Set up and support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and related tooling
  • Run containerised workloads on Docker and Kubernetes or EKS

What they look for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related subject
  • Eight or more years of relevant DevOps experience
  • Hands-on AWS work across compute, storage, networking, databases and security
  • Production experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation and administration

Nice to have

  • Experience with a government agency such as the VA
  • Docker and Kubernetes or EKS workload management
  • Modern CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions
  • An AWS certification such as DevOps Engineer Professional, Advanced Networking Specialty or Solutions Architect
