What you will do
- Build the core tax automation platform, mainly on the backend with some frontend work
- Help deliver the next major product version planned for a relaunch early next year
- Make backend architecture calls independently while working with senior engineering leaders
- Develop LLM and OCR agent pipelines and turn customer input into product features
- Work on new offerings in tax and other accounting areas such as audit

- Strong Python skills, with TypeScript as a strong plus
- Hands-on record of making backend architecture decisions
- Experience at a venture-backed startup in the seed to Series B range is strongly preferred
- A computer science degree from a top US university is strongly preferred, with math or physics also considered
- A builder mindset with high ownership and urgency

- Side projects and zero to one work
- Experience with document extraction or large scale data pipelines
