Payment Operator

About the role

An operational role in a payments team handling daily transactions, resolving payment issues and keeping processing reliable within a 24/7 shift operation.

What you will do

• Process incoming and outgoing payments accurately to keep daily operations running smoothly
• Check transaction details and keep payment records accurate across financial systems
• Handle refunds, adjustments and transaction discrepancies as they arise
• Investigate and resolve payment issues together with team members
• Assist shift leaders and managers with daily operational and payment tasks
• Coach junior operators and suggest workflow improvements

• Solid grasp of payment processing basics and financial transactions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payment data
• Good organisation and time management with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Clear written and verbal communication for working with colleagues
• A proactive, solution focused approach to resolving issues
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new processes and keep developing skills

Nice to have

• Comfort with communication tools such as Slack and Discord
• Experience in customer service or other client facing work
