What you will do

  • Ship reader-facing features that drive membership, including donation flows and account experiences
  • Integrate messaging tools, payment and donation platforms, CRM, CDP and the data infrastructure around them
  • Set up event tracking across the audience and donor journey so the data can be used
  • Build infrastructure for A/B testing and run experiments with internal business teams
  • Write front-end services and integrations for a site running on WordPress VIP
  • Work with engineering leaders to protect reader privacy and meet legal requirements

What they look for

  • Three or more years in front-end development and system integrations, with performant and secure work shipped
  • A customer data platform implementation done within the last two years
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication, including documenting technical processes for mixed audiences
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for staff summits and events

Nice to have

  • Experience with Piano or MonetizationOS, or building similar functionality
  • Working knowledge of WordPress or WordPress VIP
  • Fluency in PHP, TypeScript or vanilla JavaScript
  • Hands-on work with cloud data warehouses such as Google BigQuery
