What you will do
- Carry out legal, business and related reference research using both legal and non-legal sources
- Interview requesters and turn findings into concise, actionable reports
- Judge sources for reliability, relevance, currency and cost, then choose the best databases
- Keep up to date with legal, business, legislative, docket and analytics resources
- Track and document research requests through request management software
- Follow developments in the field through professional development and library associations
What they look for
- Solid knowledge of legal and business information sources, online searching, research methods and business intelligence
- Hands-on experience with Lexis, Westlaw and other core legal research platforms
- Comfort with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to juggle several deadlines while staying responsive and precise
Nice to have
- A law degree
- Experience in intellectual property research
