Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Suits someone comfortable owning cost analysis and closing for a plant while working closely with site managers. The work covers standard costs, budgets and controls that keep reported results accurate and compliant.

At a glance

What you will do

• Produce cost information that general ledger systems do not capture
• Gather data on raw materials, inventory and labour to work out business activity costs
• Partner with site leaders in operations, purchasing, quality, safety and regulatory
• Run the cycle count program with the aim of dropping annual physical inventories
• Handle monthly close, cost to operate statements and variance analysis

What they look for

• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or operations setting
• Ability to build standard costs and maintain reserve accounts to company rules
• Skill at analysing cost and margin swings against prior month and budget
• Experience preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budget packages
• Comfort presenting findings and issues to operations management

Nice to have

• Exposure to finance transformation work such as process automation
• Knowledge of Ireland accounting standards
