Senior Supplier Quality Engineer I

About the role

Oversee supplier audits, qualification and performance monitoring so that purchased materials and components meet quality, regulatory and risk standards. Guide suppliers and contract manufacturers toward consistent, controlled manufacturing.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee supplier audits, including those run by third party contractors, to satisfy company and country rules
• Create, review and track supplier corrective action plans through investigation, closure and proof of effectiveness
• Draft and update quality agreements together with quality staff, process owners, legal and suppliers
• Qualify, manage and monitor supplier performance using approved supplier management processes
• Spot process gaps and define, document and roll out new processes where needed
• Report supplier and contract manufacturer quality trends to management

What they look for

• Experience leading supplier audits and qualification activities independently
• Ability to apply quality engineering methods and statistics such as PFMECA, DMAIC, Lean, capability analysis, DOE and IQ/OQ/PQ
• Skill at building supplier relationships that keep manufacturing processes controlled and consistent
• Track record of driving continuous improvement with existing and new suppliers or contract manufacturers
• Ability to guide suppliers on problem solving tools and validation approaches
