Account Manager, Ophthalmics

About the role

A field sales role representing an eye care portfolio to healthcare professionals in an assigned territory. The account manager builds clinical understanding among prescribers and drives territory performance.

What you will do

• Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with targeted healthcare prescribers
• Share approved educational content and disease state information with clinicians
• Plan and carry out territory business strategy
• Raise prescriber familiarity with products, clinical evidence, safety and efficacy
• Give clinicians resources that support informed conversations with their patients
• Meet activity, adherence and financial targets for the territory

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a scientific discipline
• At least two years in pharmaceutical sales or a comparable role
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience, ideally in the relevant therapy area
• Working grasp of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care
• Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight stays, with most time in the field

Nice to have

• Prior selling experience inside healthcare institutions
• Background in eye care or ophthalmology

Pay

USD 105,000 to 136,000 per year
