Analytic Compliance, Audit Analyst II

About the role

An entry-level position combining data science and compliance. The analyst carries out data-driven reviews of business analytics products and a consumer financial education platform, with training provided in audit methods.

What you will do

• Carry out analytic reviews of business analytics products and consumer web platforms, examining how models, data and processes are designed,
• Investigate anomalies in data and processes by forming hypotheses about their causes and confirming them with evidence
• Test samples of data, transactions or system outputs to check that controls work as intended, and document methods and results clearly
• Learn the product development lifecycle, data ecosystems and related controls, working with engineering, product and data science teams
• Follow open findings until they are resolved, escalate when needed, and help prepare management reports on compliance performance
• Keep up with state and federal rules and consumer protection and privacy practices, coordinating with the legal department

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as data science, statistics, computer science, applied math or economics
• Experience in data analysis, analytics or quantitative research, ideally supporting compliance analytics and risk evaluation
• Background in a regulated sector such as banking, consumer lending, healthcare, insurance or fintech, or experience auditing analytics
• An investigative mindset: curious, questioning of easy answers, and willing to dig into data to find causes
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
• Comfort with Excel including pivot tables, and skill in using AI tools to work more efficiently

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Jira, Tableau or similar tools
