Analytics Engineer

About the role

Join a team that owns the framework, monitoring and analysis behind how betting markets are suspended and resumed, from pregame through live play to close.

What you will do

• Investigate incidents and requests end to end using raw production data and systems to find root causes
• Build and maintain metrics on system health and performance using statistical methods and clear reporting
• Contribute to the team's core framework and tooling so investigations become more repeatable
• Work independently on ambiguous problems and bring in data science, engineering or trading partners as needed
• Reconstruct and explain system behaviour during live events using real-time event-driven data

What they look for

• At least two years of Python experience covering data extraction, wrangling and analysis
• At least one year of Rust experience in a production environment
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on work with raw source data such as logs, event streams and production tables
• Comfort with open-ended problems and rigorous quantitative reasoning about system behaviour
