Associate Attorney, Asbestos Defense

About the role

Join a national asbestos defence team defending complex claims for high-profile clients, with work spanning local counsel matters and national coordinating responsibilities. The role offers meaningful responsibility across all stages of litigation.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day local counsel matters and national coordinating counsel duties
• Evaluate claims, analyse exposure and causation, and develop defence strategies
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions and briefs, and manage discovery
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, and attend hearings and mediations
• Assist with trial strategy, witness preparation and evidentiary issues

What they look for

• At least two years in asbestos defence, toxic tort defence or related complex litigation
• Excellent organisation and ability to handle competing priorities across jurisdictions
• A proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach

Nice to have

• Admission in California, Illinois, New York or Massachusetts
• Admission in additional jurisdictions
