Biomedical Equipment Technician 2

About the role

An onsite technician serving one or more hospitals, handling repair and planned maintenance of complex biomedical equipment and driving customer satisfaction.

What you will do

• Diagnose complex customer equipment problems and implement suitable repairs
• Perform planned maintenance and safety and environmental inspections
• Keep customers informed daily so issues are resolved and followed up
• Coach and support fellow technicians on simple and complex repairs
• Complete repair documentation and reports on schedule and manage parts inventory
• Take part in on-call rotation and oversee vendor service delivery within policy

What they look for

• Degree in electrical, biomedical or mechanical engineering or a related field with two or more years servicing medical equipment, or militar
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to explain technical issues plainly
• Willingness to work after hours or a rotating on-call schedule, weekends included, for critical issues
• Able to lift and move up to 35 lbs unaided and to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
• Good dexterity, reach in all directions and color, peripheral and depth vision
