Business Development Officer, Capital Finance

About the role

A role focused on sourcing loans that fit credit policy and guiding new deals from first contact through funding. The position also builds referral networks and prepares transactions for senior approval.

What you will do

• Originate loans that comply with the company credit policy
• Negotiate pricing and deal structure within defined limits
• Review and approve transactions before reporting to executive management
• Build and maintain ties with referral sources and centers of influence
• Support underwriting of new client proposals from prospect to funding
• Market to banks, accountants, attorneys, private equity firms and business brokers

What they look for

• A bachelor degree or comparable work experience
• Three years of credit experience plus three years of sales in banking, finance or asset based lending
• Knowledge of marketing tools and outreach methods such as mailings and telemarketing
• Ability to read and interpret financial and budgetary documents
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
