Chief Engineer

About the role

Lead architecture, integration, testing and fielding of Zero Trust gateway capabilities for an Air Force program. Direct cross functional teams and brief senior military and civilian leaders.

What you will do

• Lead systems level architecture, design, integration, lab and field testing, deployment and knowledge transfer across classified and unclass
• Direct integrated product teams spanning networking, compute and storage, hardware and software integration, and cybersecurity.
• Define the Zero Trust technical approach covering identity, access, segmentation, visibility and policy enforcement.
• Drive requirements management, risk mitigation, test planning and lifecycle systems engineering.
• Coordinate RMF and JSIG alignment, eMASS activities, STIG enforcement and contract deliverables with the program office.
• Prepare briefings, decision papers and roadmap recommendations for senior leadership.

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least ten years of enterprise IT engineering and architecture experience.
• Experience leading integrated product teams across networking, compute, hardware, software and cybersecurity.
• Experience delivering a Zero Trust solution through direct technical contributions.
• Executive level written and oral communication for senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Lead systems engineer or chief engineer role on a large DoD acquisition program.
• Prior leadership delivering Zero Trust across multiple enclaves.
• Cloud and enterprise architecture experience with AWS or Azure.
• Azure or AWS Solution Architect certification, CISSP or CSSIP, or a Windows Server hybrid administrator certification.
