Clinical Scientist, MR

About the role

A hands-on scientist role exploring and validating advanced MRI applications with clinical and academic partners, focused on aging, preventive health and precision care. The position works closely with collaborators at a research site.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise to optimize use of MR products and introduce prototypes and analysis tools to research partners
• Act as technical lead on collaborative research projects aligned with the MR roadmap, especially longevity and preventive health
• Represent the company scientifically at a strategic research collaboration site with a high degree of independence
• Design MR applications using MRI, engineering, AI and clinical workflow knowledge to simplify exams and enable biomarkers
• Build prototypes and release them to external collaborators under design controls
• Conduct original research supporting patents and joint publications, and help generate pre and post market evidence

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, such as electrical or biomedical engineering, computer science, applied math or physics
• At least five years of post-graduation experience in medical imaging or medical research
• Background in image processing, deep learning segmentation, quantitative imaging and open-source MR post-processing pipelines
• Solid grasp of MR physics
• Familiarity with the company's MR systems and research done on them
• Industry experience applying MRI in healthcare technology, clinical research or commercial research settings
