Cloud Engineer

About the role

Operates, secures and improves production cloud environments behind mission-critical SaaS products used by utility and damage-prevention customers. Hands-on work spanning infrastructure, security, automation and reliability across Azure and AWS.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve production infrastructure on Azure and AWS, including compute, networking, databases and identity
• Implement cloud security controls such as IAM/RBAC, segmentation, WAF rules, TLS and secrets management
• Handle vulnerability remediation, patching and findings from scans and penetration tests
• Monitor systems, keep alerting effective and join incident response and root cause analysis
• Automate routine tasks and build infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep or similar
• Support SOC 2 Type II controls, audit evidence and process documentation

What they look for

• Three to five years in cloud engineering, SRE, DevOps or infrastructure roles supporting production
• Strong hands-on Azure and AWS experience in production settings
• Knowledge of cloud security practices and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash or Python and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions
• Practical infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Bicep or comparable tools
