What you will do
- Run monthly and quarterly closes, payroll, billing, receivables and payables, the general ledger and revenue recognition
- Keep the company compliant with GAAP, tax rules and industry standards while limiting financial risk
- Direct the yearly external audit and work with tax advisers on federal and state filings
- Oversee bank accounts, the debt facility, compliance reporting and cash flow forecasting
- Build scalable finance systems and processes, and mentor the accounting team
- Partner with finance, sales, HR and leadership to improve financial performance
What they look for
- Degree in accounting, finance or a similar discipline
- Eight or more years in accounting, including at least two supervising others
- Solid grasp of US GAAP and ability to explain complex issues to non-finance colleagues
- Experience leading and coaching staff accountants
- Hands on with QuickBooks, Maxio and Excel
- Strong analysis skills and a record of automating accounting work and rolling out systems
Nice to have
- CPA or comparable certification
