Customer Program Manager

About the role

Suits someone who can hold a room with senior hospital stakeholders and keep a million-pound software project on scope, budget and schedule from signature to go-live.

At a glance

What you will do

• Run large cross-functional imaging projects, often above one million pounds in budget.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources and risk, and balance them as things change.
• Chair steering committees and governance forums, and write clear progress and escalation reports.
• Manage subcontractors and partners, including customised contract setups.
• Control budgets, assess change requests and keep revenue and cost forecasts current.

What they look for

• Solid project management background with methods such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Experience running complex software implementation projects through the full lifecycle.
• Comfort working with PACS, RIS and enterprise imaging solutions.
• Able to build relationships with customers and partners up to senior leadership.
• Willing to travel regularly across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, with other Northern Europe trips as needed.

A typical week

• Working from home on plans, reports and stakeholder calls.
• Travelling to hospital sites for meetings and go-live milestones.
• Reviewing budgets, forecasts and change requests with the project team.
• Leading project team meetings and steering committee sessions.
