A hands-on engineering role supporting a large data platform modernization, moving many datasets to Snowflake and rebuilding pipelines and orchestration. The technical approach is already set, so the work centers on implementation and migration delivery.
What you will do
- Shift Confluent connections between cloud regions
- Convert Hive pipelines to Iceberg using Snowpark Connect
- Adapt existing pipelines to Snowflake while keeping data quality and reliability
- Support workflow scheduling and monitoring in Apache Airflow
- Execute time-sensitive migrations together with the team
What they look for
- Two or more years of experience and strong software engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on Python development
- Advanced SQL with complex joins, CTEs, window functions and performance tuning
- Snowflake data modeling
- Airflow pipeline development and testing in Python
- Apache Kafka and Apache Spark experience, including hands-on PySpark
Nice to have
- Hands-on Snowflake migration, including warehouse modernization and cost and performance optimization
- Airflow migration experience such as version upgrades, executor changes or platform moves
- Experience using AI tools for development
