Director Analyst, Sourcing, Contracts and Negotiations (Software Licensing/SAP)

About the role

A senior analyst role producing research and practical guidance on enterprise software and SaaS sourcing, contracts and negotiations, with a strong focus on the SAP ecosystem. The director advises clients and speaks at events as a recognised industry expert.

What you will do

• Produce distinctive research content and forward-looking market predictions for clients
• Analyse client problems in depth, reframe their thinking and recommend actionable strategies
• Forecast market shifts and turn findings into practical guidance for clients and vendors
• Deliver presentations at conferences, client briefings and company events
• Support sales teams as a market voice and review peers' content
• Mentor and coach less experienced analysts and improve research processes

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical background, with a postgraduate degree preferred
• Ten or more years in a relevant field or industry
• Eight or more years negotiating SaaS or software contracts, procurement, category or vendor management, or software asset management
• Five or more years hands-on with SAP renewals, ideally covering RISE, S/4HANA and line of business solutions
• Deep knowledge of SAP licensing, especially commercial aspects, plus software and cloud market trends
• Experience assessing software licence compliance risk
