Director of Infrastructure Engineering

About the role

A full-time remote leadership role combining hands-on infrastructure work with strategy to build and scale cloud platforms supporting production AI systems.

What you will do

• Own multi-cloud architecture across AWS and GCP and set infrastructure strategy for scale, reliability, security and cost
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar tooling
• Design CI/CD systems and establish SLOs, error budgets, incident response and on-call practices
• Lead disaster recovery and resilience work, and build observability across metrics, logs, traces and alerting
• Lead and mentor an infrastructure or platform engineering team and advise technical and executive stakeholders

What they look for

• 8 or more years in production infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps or SRE
• 3 or more years of engineering leadership
• Strong Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code experience
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised infrastructure
• Experience designing and running modern CI/CD platforms and highly available, observable systems

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, GovCloud, CMMC Level 2 or similar regulated environments

Pay

USD 350,000 to 500,000 per year
