Employee Benefits Account Manager

About the role

The account manager owns day to day management of assigned clients and works with the internal service team, benefits consultants and client executives. The job is to keep service on track, advise on benefit options and grow relationships over time.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain an assigned book of business.
• Advise clients and delegate work to internal service team members.
• Run the renewal process with benefits consultants and client executives.
• Handle day to day client issues and hold regular face-to-face meetings.
• Conduct needs analysis, strategy calls and enrollment meetings as needed.
• Help clients file 5500 forms and find ways to cut costs while keeping competitive benefits.

What they look for

• Three or more years in account management or a consultative role.
• Prior experience at a broker agency or benefits administration firm.
• Current Life and Health license.
• Solid knowledge of health and ancillary products.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with quoting processes and tools.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with database applications.
