Lead a small cross-functional engineering team building social connection products, owning delivery from requirements through release and keeping services reliable.
What you will do
- Guide a mixed team of backend, frontend and QA engineers
- Own feature delivery end to end, from requirements to release
- Run sprint planning, estimation, decomposition and readiness criteria
- Contribute to feature design and technical decisions
- Keep services reliable through monitoring, alerting and incident reviews
- Work with the product manager to prioritise the backlog
What they look for
- At least three years of commercial development in .NET, Java or Python
- One or more years leading a cross-functional team
- Familiarity with microservices, REST or gRPC and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
- Experience with logging, metrics and tracing tools like ELK, Grafana or DataDog
- Working knowledge of Scrum or Kanban
Nice to have
- Understanding of frontend architecture with React and mobile work in React Native
- Knowledge of QA processes and test automation
