Financial Analyst

About the role

A finance role focused on sales commission calculations, subscription revenue metrics and reporting, working with planning, revenue operations and accounting colleagues to keep financial data accurate.

What you will do

• Calculate monthly, quarterly and yearly sales commissions from variable pay plans and confirm figures with accounting
• Report and analyse recurring revenue, retention and other subscription metrics each month
• Prepare financial reports for leadership and investors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Help with operating plans, forecasts, budget against actuals and headcount reporting
• Find ways to streamline commission work, strengthen models and raise reporting accuracy
• Work with finance, accounting and revenue operations to keep data reliable

What they look for

• Degree in finance, accounting, business or a similar discipline
• At least two years in finance, accounting, sales compensation or financial analysis
• Practical experience computing and administering commissions or variable pay, including reading plan terms
• Advanced Excel skills for handling complex data and building financial models
• Keen eye for detail and strong analysis, able to spot and fix discrepancies
• Good communication and comfort working with stakeholders across functions

Nice to have

• Experience at a SaaS or subscription software business
• Knowledge of metrics such as ARR, gross and net revenue retention
• Background in budgeting, forecasting or financial planning
• Understanding of how income statement, balance sheet and cash flow fit together
