Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Support the training and assessment of AI agents working on advanced fluid simulation problems. You will prepare simulation cases from CAD models and create reference results the agents are checked against.

What you will do

• Prepare and run fluid simulations starting from CAD geometry
• Produce verified reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the results produced by AI agents
• Assess agent output on expert-level simulation work

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy or oil and gas
• Several years of practical CFD experience in industry or research
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including meshing
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh-independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Working knowledge of Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
