Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Support the training and assessment of AI agents working on advanced fluid simulation problems. You prepare simulation cases, produce trusted reference results and code checks in Python.

What you will do

• Prepare and run fluid simulations starting from CAD geometry
• Create verified reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the agent's results
• Evaluate how well AI agents handle expert-level simulation work

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, CFX or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, including mesh-independence studies and benchmark or experimental comparison
• Comfortable working with Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase flows or flows carrying particles
• A PhD is preferred but not required
