Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Support the training and assessment of AI agents working on advanced fluid simulation problems. You prepare simulation cases, produce validated reference results, and code checks in Python for agent outputs.

What you will do

• Prepare and execute fluid simulations starting from CAD geometry
• Create reference solutions that have been verified
• Write Python scripts that check the results produced by AI agents
• Assess how well AI agents perform on expert simulation tasks

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or in energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, including mesh independence and comparison to experiments or benchmarks
• Working knowledge of Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery work
• Experience with multiphase flows or flows carrying particles
• A PhD, though it is not required
