Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You prepare simulation cases, produce verified reference results and write Python checks that judge the agent's output.

What you will do

• Take CAD geometry and prepare, then run, fluid simulations
• Create reference solutions that have been verified
• Write Python scripts to check the results produced by the agent
• Evaluate how well AI agents perform on expert simulation tasks

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or in energy or oil and gas
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, including meshing
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Comfortable using Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
• A PhD is preferred but not required
