Human Resources Director

About the role

A senior HR leader is needed to establish and grow the people function while the business expands quickly. The role blends strategy with hands-on execution and supports organisational change.

What you will do

• Direct the full HR remit, covering employee relations, performance management, compliance and daily operations
• Shape people strategies that underpin fast expansion and longer term business goals
• Create policies, programmes and processes that scale as the organisation evolves
• Work with executives on workforce planning, organisational design and talent strategy
• Guide HR workstreams for mergers and acquisitions, keeping the employee experience smooth
• Advise and develop leaders on engagement, performance and effective leadership

What they look for

• At least eight years of steadily increasing HR leadership, including a director level or comparable senior post
• A track record of supporting fast-growing startups and organisations that scaled
• Hands-on experience of mergers, acquisitions or integration work after a deal
• Background in large enterprise or matrixed structures
• Strong grasp of employment law and established HR practice
• A bachelor's degree

Nice to have

• A master's degree or a recognised HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR
• Startup experience building and scaling an HR function
• Supporting rapid headcount growth
• Partnering with executives on organisational design and business strategy
