Provide second level technical support and operational engineering for enterprise infrastructure. Act as an escalation point for incidents and requests that first line teams cannot resolve.
What you will do
- Design scalable system infrastructure, apply changes consistently and automate service delivery and maintenance
- Build monitoring and tooling, and resolve complex production technology issues independently
- Analyse complex outages and recommend system improvements to management
- Apply engineering best practices and patterns while evaluating possible technology solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and sometimes peers
- Create software defined infrastructure as code within CI/CD pipelines and manage related risks
What they look for
- Bachelor's degree, or four years of relevant education or experience
- Four years of infrastructure operations experience
- Experience supporting round the clock enterprise environments
- Background in a network operations centre, availability command centre or production support team
- Experience with cloud based infrastructure platforms
- Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare or another regulated industry
Nice to have
- Windows Server, Red Hat Linux and VMware experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
- Cloud platform experience
