What you will do
- Analyze investment strategies, products, portfolios, plans and agreements alongside regulators
- Review investment policies, guidelines, procedures and controls, verifying ownership and valuation of accounts
- Assess investment risk management processes and derivative portfolios with hedging programs
- Test compliance with state laws and regulations and document work to regulatory standards
- Review valuation and impairment of asset backed, mortgage-backed and collateralized debt securities
- Join client status meetings, prepare deliverables and flag issues for the client
What they look for
- A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 10 or more years in investment management or investment risk in insurance, banking or asset management
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and business productivity tools for presentations, reports, spreadsheets and planning
- Time and project management skills
Nice to have
- An MBA, CPA or other certification such as CIS or CFA
- Insurance industry portfolio management experience
- Experience reviewing and documenting investment-related internal controls and governance
