Lead Engineer

About the role

Lead client projects from the first conversation through to production while still writing most of the code yourself. The work centres on building platforms for insurers, including underwriting and agent portals.

What you will do

• Run client meetings alone to clarify needs, propose options and agree next steps
• Own testing, CI/CD, releases and production readiness
• Work directly with client stakeholders, company leadership and your team

What they look for

• Complex projects owned end to end, not just parts of them
• System design skills you can explain along with the trade-offs
• Daily, effective use of AI coding tools, plus experience running client meetings alone and mentoring developers
