Join the compliance unit of a regulated payments business, drafting and reviewing the agreements that run the company and helping keep it compliant with applicable rules. Report to the Compliance Manager and work across teams.
What you will do
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as NDAs, partner, vendor and client terms
- Prepare customer-facing documents like terms and conditions, privacy notices and consent wording
- Maintain a contract register, template library and renewal tracking
- Review internally drafted agreements and policies for legal soundness and approval
- Support KYC, AML, sanctions and due diligence programmes and monitor regulatory changes
- Run compliance monitoring, record findings and help prepare regulatory filings
What they look for
- About three years of post-qualification legal or compliance experience, ideally in fintech, banking or payments
- Proven drafting and review of commercial agreements
- Designate Compliance Professional certification, or enrolment with completion planned
- Working knowledge of Nigerian data protection, anti-money laundering and financial services rules
- Clear precise writing, attention to detail and independent working in a remote-first team
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CBN requirements and FINTRAC
