Legal Counsel, Privacy

About the role

Provide practical legal advice on US and global privacy and data protection across products, commercial relationships and internal operations, and help run the company's privacy program.

What you will do

• Advise business teams on privacy compliance, data governance and risk reduction
• Draft, review and negotiate data processing agreements and related privacy terms
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and recommend mitigations
• Carry out privacy due diligence on vendors, customers and partners
• Guide teams on adtech, analytics, cookies, consent and data monetization practices
• Support privacy incident and data breach response

What they look for

• Knowledge of US federal and state privacy laws including CCPA and CPRA
• Experience drafting and negotiating data protection agreements
• Ability to turn legal developments into clear guidance and contract language
• Experience with privacy impact assessments and privacy by design
• Strong collaboration with product, engineering, security and sales teams
