At a glance

What you will do

• Lead sales counselors so location quotas are met or beaten, and train them on prospecting, presentations, closing and aftercare
• Build marketing programs suited to the local community and keep track of competitor pricing
• Review pre-need and at-need contracts for legal and internal compliance, and approve customer discounts
• Prepare financial control reports and keep marketing materials, sales supplies and offices in order

What they look for

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred
• At least 5 years of sales management experience in the cemetery or funeral industry
• Sales counselor or supervisory background, with skill in presenting, training, coaching and motivating a sales force
• Valid driver's license with a good record, the insurance license the state requires, and comfort with Windows, MS Office and CRM systems
