  • Turn the agreed data strategy into standards, procedures, controls and a roadmap people can follow
  • Prepare agendas and decision material for the data governance council, then track actions and metrics
  • Write and enforce data definitions, naming rules, validation rules and retention expectations
  • Run the full lifecycle of data records: intake, validation, approval, change control and retirement
  • Set data quality rules and dashboards, and chase root causes of duplicates and bad records
