Model Risk Manager

About the role

Builds and runs a risk-based model risk management program, providing independent validation and challenge across the model lifecycle as the company scales toward regulated bank status.

What you will do

• Perform independent validations of internal and third-party models across credit, fraud, AML, finance and pricing
• Assess model methodology, data quality, implementation and performance using benchmarking and back-testing
• Maintain an accurate model inventory with ownership, risk ratings, limitations and open issues
• Review monitoring plans, thresholds, overrides and drift, and document conclusions with remediation tracking
• Report on model risk, validation coverage and exceptions to management and governance committees
• Improve policies, standards, procedures and templates, using automation to streamline the work

• Familiarity with regulatory expectations for models in banking or lending
• Ability to move between technical analysis, business context and governance
