Experienced entrepreneurs mentor and train local businesses and aspiring founders in value-added processing, sharing practical know-how on building and running a viable enterprise.
What you will do
- Mentor, train and coach local businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs
- Share first-hand experience in production methods and quality control
- Advise on product development, packaging, branding, marketing and sales
- Guide on financial management, business planning and supply chains
- Take part in events and activities focused on entrepreneurs
- Show how value can be created from locally available resources
What they look for
- Practical experience building and running a small or medium value-added business
- First-hand knowledge of taking products from raw materials through processing to sale
- Understanding of operating a small business in a Pacific context
- Experience with input, labour, finance, transport and market constraints
- Based in the Pacific Islands or a Solomon Islander entrepreneur abroad
