A remote role managing the full billing cycle for surgical patients, including payment plans and financial aid referrals. The specialist liaises with scheduling, estimating and registration teams to address patient financial needs.
What you will do
- Help patients arrange payment methods, including procedure down payments and payment plans
- Connect uninsured or eligible patients with financial aid and insurance enrollment teams
- Discuss financial arrangements for procedures by phone or in person
- Act as liaison among patients, billing teams and physician offices
- Follow up on balances after procedures, including refunds and credit balances
- Monitor delinquent payment plans and help bring accounts current
What they look for
- At least six years of verifiable experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle roles
- Background in medical billing, patient registration or patient financial services
- Ability to discuss financial details calmly and professionally
- Skill in handling multiple tasks and deadlines while staying focused
- Experience with spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Analytical ability to spot workflow improvement opportunities
