Payroll Specialist

About the role

Support a client's Canadian payroll operations full time, running accurate and timely payroll cycles independently. The role covers processing, validation, compliance and employee payroll inquiries.

What you will do

• Check time records, hours, overtime and other payroll inputs
• Calculate wages, deductions, statutory contributions and payroll adjustments under Canadian rules
• Review payroll data for discrepancies and resolve issues quickly
• Answer employee questions about pay, deductions and discrepancies
• Keep payroll compliant with Canadian employment standards, legislation and tax requirements

What they look for

• Proven experience processing Canadian payroll
• Strong grasp of Canadian payroll regulations, statutory deductions and compliance
• Ability to manage payroll accurately and meet strict deadlines
• High attention to detail, good organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and training, handling confidential information professionally
