People and Culture Specialist, Employee Relations, Leave and Accommodations

About the role

Handles day to day employee relations, leave and accommodation cases for a multi state workforce, guiding managers and staff from intake to resolution while keeping records confidential.

What you will do

• Run employee relations cases end to end, from intake and fact finding through interviews, findings, recommendations and follow up
• Coach managers on fair, consistent handling of performance, conduct, attendance, conflict and retention concerns
• Escalate matters carrying legal, retaliation, discrimination or safety risk to People and Culture leadership
• Manage leave and accommodation requests under ADA, FMLA and state or local laws, coordinating the interactive process
• Keep accurate, confidential case records and track open actions and deadlines to completion
• Lead approved employee experience initiatives and maintain procedures, templates and process guides

What they look for

• Experience handling employee relations cases and workplace investigations
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA and state and local leave laws
• Sound judgment to resolve routine matters within policy and escalate risk promptly
• Strong documentation, communication and coaching skills
• Ability to work independently across a multi state workforce
