The role owns an independent research agenda on how digital tools are used in upstream oil and gas, turning technical trends into insights clients can act on.
What you will do
- Interview operators, vendors and experts about adoption priorities, investment choices, deployment hurdles and business outcomes
- Publish timely independent research on technology trends, vendor strategies and adoption patterns
- Assess how digital tools support exploration, field development, drilling, production optimisation, asset reliability and remote operations
- Analyse deployment requirements such as legacy integration, IT and OT convergence, data availability, connectivity and cybersecurity
- Present findings through reports, advisory sessions, presentations and industry events, and support commercial client engagement
What they look for
- Typically seven or more years of relevant oil and gas experience with operators, service companies, technology providers, field work or sect
- Understanding of how one or more digital technologies such as AI and machine learning, digital twins, cloud, edge, IoT, data platforms or au
- Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews and assess business value and deployment challenges
