Benefits and Programs Specialist, Canada and US

About the role

The role oversees benefit program delivery for employees in Canada and the United States, keeping processes efficient and compliant. You will support HR operations, vendors and annual enrollment while improving service levels.

What you will do

• Work with plan administrators on daily benefits operations, escalation handling and lean metrics
• Monitor regulations, flag compliance gaps to leadership and coordinate annual health and welfare audits
• Support annual enrollment and regulatory needs through updated communications and system documentation
• Manage annual handbook updates with subject matter experts and legal teams
• Resolve benefit and eligibility issues and answer client inquiries within set timeframes
• Test and validate plan changes, govern eligibility and enrollment rules, and process leave reports for payroll accuracy

What they look for

• A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related business field, or a high school diploma with at least five years in HR or benefits admi
• Proficiency in written and spoken Canadian French and English

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to question information quality
• Ability to propose solutions beyond established parameters
