QA Engineer, Automation Backend Testing

About the role

Own quality assurance for a fiat payments business, covering planning, test design, execution and release approval across app, web, backend and admin surfaces. Extend the automated regression suite and help close quality gaps quickly with product, engineering and compliance colleagues.

What you will do

• Take charge of end to end quality for the fiat payments area, from reviewing requirements to signing off releases
• Coordinate testing across mobile, web, backend and admin platforms and surface fiat related risks throughout the stack
• Test fiat features such as stream start and end, co-streaming, cross-room links, playback and compliance, including weak network and high co
• Maintain and grow the automated regression framework using Python, pytest and k6
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, compliance and operations to resolve quality issues fast
• Support AI assisted testing efforts and contribute to the team knowledge base

What they look for

• Three or more years of QA experience at internet, fintech or payment platform companies
• Hands on automation testing experience
• Comfort working in agile release cycles with short sprints, staged rollouts and full releases
• Ability to own test coverage independently and review test cases and code written by others
• Strong cross team communication, flagging risks proactively rather than only logging bugs
• Basic Python automation skills to read, extend and maintain existing test scripts
