Regional Sales Manager

About the role

A manufacturer of gas detection equipment seeks a regional sales manager to drive growth across a US territory. The role owns sales strategy, channel partners and customer relationships in the region.

What you will do

• Direct sales activity across the assigned US region so financial and legal targets, including quota and regional profitability, are met
• Roll out the go-to-market and marketing plan locally, including launches of new products, services and value propositions
• Generate new business demand and keep all relevant records in a CRM
• Give tactical and strategic technical guidance to grow business in specific market segments
• Build and maintain relationships with important customers and channel partners to reach full sales potential
• Support management in shaping and tracking the annual business plan, and provide quotations and handle enquiries within company targets

What they look for

• At least two years of selling experience, ideally in a technical sales setting
• A solid grasp of sales, marketing and support processes
• Strong commercial awareness with a proven record of success
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• Familiarity with US markets

Nice to have

• A technical or business degree or equivalent, plus relevant professional qualifications
• Five or more years in gas detection or a closely related field
• Experience helping others succeed in sales
• An MBA or similar qualification
