What you will do

  • Study what the division needs to report and which data sources can supply it, then build the systems that deliver it.
  • Keep standard and ad hoc reports running and make sure they go out on schedule and without errors.
  • Pull and analyse data with statistical and programming tools to answer the division's questions.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests, assign them to staff, and train people to keep new reporting processes going.

  • At least five years in health insurance, finance or actuarial work using statistics and programming applications.
  • High school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with data applications on PCs, including MS Office in a Windows setting.
  • A firm grasp of health plan finances: premium, claims use, medical trend, loss ratio, membership and underwriting assumptions.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Python, Power BI, SAS, SQL and advanced Excel, plus TSO and CICS data processing.
