A senior engineering role on a sales and marketing systems team, building a new platform to replace a legacy solution for an insurance line of business. The engineer also helps set standards and grow expertise in IBM workflow technologies.
What you will do
- Lead design, development, implementation and support of a replacement platform.
- Build scalable enterprise workflow and decision-management solutions.
- Partner with an external implementation partner, architects and business stakeholders.
- Establish development standards and influence solution architecture.
- Mentor team members and help build long-term expertise in IBM workflow tools.
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations and modernization efforts.
What they look for
- Three or more years with IBM Operational Decision Manager, integrating business rules with workflows.
- Experience with workflow components such as processes, human services, coaches, dashboards, toolkits and reusable frameworks.
- Strong integration skills using REST APIs, SOAP services, JMS/MQ messaging and databases.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL and enterprise databases such as SQL Server and DB2.
- Experience with requirements gathering, technical estimation, architecture and code reviews, and mentoring in Agile/Scrum teams.

- Data modeling experience.
