Senior Commercial Counsel, Revenue

About the role

A legal role focused entirely on revenue deals, supporting sales, business development and partner teams through the full contract lifecycle. The attorney acts as a trusted advisor and negotiates directly with customers and partners.

What you will do

• Work alongside sales, business development and services teams to speed up revenue and improve contracting practices
• Act as the main expert and contact for complex deals involving direct sales, resellers, ISVs and global partners
• Draft and negotiate SaaS, reseller, partner, licensing, maintenance, services and RFP documents
• Liaise with outside counsel and legal colleagues to keep deals compliant across jurisdictions
• Support occasional company projects such as M&A, compliance and other corporate work

What they look for

• At least five to seven years of relevant experience, including hands-on SaaS enterprise agreement work
• A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited US law school
• Active good standing in a US state bar
• Comfort negotiating directly with customers and internal teams toward win-win results
• Self-driven, collaborative and business-minded, with a team-first outlook
• Ability to assess situations quickly, think creatively and push deals to close

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software revenue recognition rules
• Experience negotiating professional services engagements alongside SaaS deals
• Exposure to privacy or government relations compliance
