Senior Data Center Operations Engineer

About the role

A senior engineer needed to deploy, maintain and scale the physical server, network and cabling infrastructure behind global production data centers. The role sits in a cloud operations team and involves heavy hands-on fieldwork and travel.

What you will do

• Carry out rack and stack installations, structured cabling and lifecycle management in production data centers
• Diagnose and fix hardware and network faults, repairing or swapping out failed parts
• Work through operational ticket queues and run scheduled corrective maintenance and break/fix work
• Keep asset tracking records accurate and travel domestically and internationally up to half the time

What they look for

• Five or more years in production data center environments, including directing remote data center vendors
• Use of modern AI tools, automation or scripting to improve data center workflows and diagnostics
• Deep knowledge of varied server platforms and network hardware
• U.S. citizenship, required because of the assigned customers
• Discipline in keeping highly available production environments in top condition
