Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

The role builds and maintains a full-stack product spanning web, mobile and backend systems for a client, with emphasis on financial data, security and AI features. It is a senior position for someone who can own production systems and review AI-generated code critically.

What you will do

• Build background systems such as webhook handlers, queued message batching and scheduled jobs
• Handle security-sensitive paths including encrypted bank tokens, chat content, per-user data scoping and auth
• Develop the AI layer with LLM tool-calling over financial data, long-term memory and proactive insights

What they look for

• Six or more years as a software engineer, with three or more shipping production TypeScript and Node backends
• Hands-on work with async systems such as idempotency, retries, webhook deduplication and partial job failures
• A security-first mindset around personal data, encryption at rest, auth tokens and least privilege
• Solo ownership of production at least once, including on-call, error tracking and root-cause write-ups

Nice to have

• Plaid in production, including webhooks, item re-authentication and transaction sync cursors
• LLMs in production, including tool-calling, prompt evaluation and cost and latency control
• Next.js App Router and React Server Components
• SMS or messaging compliance, or Stripe subscription billing

Benefits

• Hybrid schedule with flexibility depending on business needs
• Full-time contract through a payroll platform

Pay

USD 9,200 to 10,000 per month
